Pumpkin tasting

Today we roasted pumpkin flesh and seeds. We found out that the stringy stuff inside is called the membrane. The seeds were delicious and most of us liked the pumpkin flesh.

Pumpkin Challenge time

We had lots of challenges today linked to our story. We scooped out the seeds from pumpkins so we could roast them, we made new homes for the characters using natural resources and we helped keep our outside environment clean and tidy by sweeping up.

Thank you to all who brought in pumpkins for our learning this week. We have read the story and had a look at what is inside a pumpkin.

Story writing and telling Reception children.

Halle shared her stories from home. She brought the main character, Sammy to meet the class. Jessica wrote her story all about a big Jessica!
Can you write a short story? You could do it at home and bring it in.

20141015-144125.jpg Duke and Kyle worked hard to build a Gruffalo Den. They carried the branches safely to make the den. We started weaving using the ivy but found it very tricky. How else can we camouflage the cave?
