Tens and units exchange

We played a game to remind us how to exchange 10 units for 1 ten. Simon has made an ebook about exchanging, you can see it on the school website.

Natural portrait

The girls used their natural resources to make the face of a girl. They have called her Chloe. They think Chole has just been to the seaside and her mum said that she needs to go to bed so she feels grumpy. That is why she is not smiling!

Andy goldsworthy

Andy Goldsworthy is our new class artist. He uses natural resources to create sculpture and other art work. We have been collecting our own natural resources to make our own pieces of art work later in the week.

Mathletics

Practical addition

We went to the Wombridge Winter Woolies shop and bought some gloves each (ready for the snow!) We counted the correct amount of pennies and counted on to buy 2 gloves. We then had a go at recording what we had done.

Bird feeders

We made bird feeders using toilet roll tubes, peanut butter and bird seeds. If you want to learn how to do it you can look at our keynote on the school website.

On a cold and frosty morning.
