We made oat and sultana cookies using the ingredients. We noticed that there is a lot less sugar than in the flapjacks that we made before. We rolled the cookies into spheres but after cooking they had flattened out. Sheatiel noticed that ‘now they are 2D!’

Today the Reception children have been inspired by the builders in school. We have used the word cards and had a go at building our own words.

The little red hen left a note for the reception children to make them 3 lots of bread. Each character wanted two bread rolls each. We counted in twos!
We made masks and wore them to help us in our role play. We used the farm yard that the other children had made.
We made the farm yard using the outdoor construction materials. Some of us made signs and labels too. Now we can use it in our role play!
We had a brilliant time at the farm. We saw the animals, went on a senses walk, made pancakes and learned all about what farmers do. Photos to follow…
