We explored capacity outdoors today. We found that sometimes a container doesn’t hold as much as we think it will.
We made beanstalks and compared them with our friends, measured leaves and measured the length of the classroom in giant steps as well as our own!

The little red hen left a note for the reception children to make them 3 lots of bread. Each character wanted two bread rolls each. We counted in twos!

We went to the Wombridge Winter Woolies shop and bought some gloves each (ready for the snow!) We counted the correct amount of pennies and counted on to buy 2 gloves. We then had a go at recording what we had done.
